It is essential not to remove the tree completely if the tree is close to your home. ( under 5 meters) 
Because if you remove the tree, the root system could be destroyed, 

The dead tree root system could attract the  Termite(white ant) to your home.
Must not remove tree or use the chemical poison if the tree is close to your house.
